A true “golden healer quartz,” sometimes also referred to as simply “golden quartz,” is defined as a crystal cluster or crystal containing an iron oxide coating in between or underneath layers of crystal. Coloration can range from a clear, pale yellow to lemon to (darker) mustard. The coating on these crystals is transparent and almost greasy, and gives off a surprising and beautiful rainbow sheen when turned beneath a light source. Golden healers are dense and may be super clear or milky, depending on the specimen. They are found throughout the world. However, the highest ratio of this crystal mined from a single location can be found in Wales, in the the Celtic Quartz mine.
